TSF Music Scholarships
TSF’s Music Scholarship programme provides funds for talented and highly motivated children who do not have the financial means for regular music tuition. The scholarship covers the cost of lessons and instruments, while giving the children opportunities to play in a variety of ensembles and at regular performances.
Each scholarship runs for up to four years and has a value of about £3000. We currently have 19 scholars rising to 29 in September 2017 playing a variety of instruments. The programme is run by two music services – Tri-borough Music Hub (Westminster, Chelsea & Kensington and Hammersmith & Fulham) and Wandsworth Music Services. Tuition is provided by highly qualified teachers, employed through these music services.
Auditions are held annually, usually during February, in two locations for children in years 4-6 attending a state school (including Academies and Free Schools). Please contact us if you are interested in more details.
From September 2017 we welcome acclaimed jazz musician Misha Mullov-Abbado as TSF’s first ever Music Patron. Misha will attend key music events and workshops and in so doing will inspire our young musicians.
