First Aid Fortnight marking our 10th Anniversary

The Foundation First Aid Fortnight was a fantastic way to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Thomas’s Schools Foundation. This is the first time the Foundation has organised a simultaneous event across all four Thomas’s Schools. It required an enormous amount of hard work, so there are a lot of people we need to thank!

First Aid Fortnight

• The teachers and support staff at all the schools without whose help and cooperation the event could not have taken place.

• The PTA Chairs have been invaluable with their support and encouragement, and we are very grateful to the PTAs for their generous financial donations over the years.

• Irene Penny at the Red Cross and her trainers–Carrie, Margaret, Netty and Sue–have all done a magnificent job. They have trained 1018 children over the four prep schools and run assemblies for some of the lower schools.

First Aid Fortnight

• Fru fru for the delicious cupcakes.

• Springfield Promotions for the Foundation First Aid bags and key chains. If you want to fill your child’s bag visit the Red Cross website for guidance on what to include.

• Phil Redding and Victoria Smith at our design firm Wordsearch have been very generous with their time and expertise, not just for FFAF but also generally over the last three years.

And, as you can see by the photos, the children! We were thrilled to provide this first aid training also to many children in our local community as part of our continuing outreach programme and we hope they all enjoyed the training and would like to thank them for taking part in our celebrations. Here’s to the next 10 years!
