The Foundation funds a range of projects in the areas of education, drama, music, arts and sports, aimed at children aged from 4-11. The Foundation works in areas where Thomas’s London Day Schools have their own schools, in the London boroughs of Wandsworth, Lambeth, Hammersmith & Fulham and Kensington & Chelsea. In partnership with over 20 local organisations and schools and benefiting over 4,000 children to date, the Foundation gives children access to fun, inspiring and educational activities which build self-esteem and confidence. These activities are after or in-school programmes, out of school community projects, holiday workshops, and group outings to places of educational interest. Past projects include theatre workshops, orchestral days, pottery and French classes, dance and ballet lessons, as well as field trips. Funding commitments have ranged from £250 to £5,000. All activities are run by qualified staff or by the recipient organisation’s own personnel. We are delighted to discuss new initiatives and funding for projects which enrich the lives of the children in the schools’ local communities. Please see the other tabs under Community for further information. If you would like to find out whether there is a local project which might interest your child, visit the Future Projects page.
